One of the key things we take into consideration is the length of your career. When discussing with the lenders we are able to negotiate and come to an agreement with them on an individual basis. Because of this we often find ourselves able to get affordable mortgages without the restriction of having to have it repaid before you retire.

One of the ways we do this is to help you design and plan out your future after you retire and we take this information to the lender.

The first time you saw your first sports contract you probably didn’t know what was going on with it. With the different types of payments and benefits available it can seem a bit daunting. It’s no different for an underwriter. They will see 1 or 2 sports contracts in their full career and it’s important that you have someone who can talk their language when negotiating the deals.

Typical contracts can last anywhere up to 5 years, this means that for the duration of the contract you are able to evidence your income. But what happens after that, especially when mortgage terms can go up to 40 years. The lenders need to be sure, that the mortgage payments will be sustainable if taking it beyond the contract length.
